Coffee shops these days are getting so creative it's getting increasingly harder for me to pick a favorite spot. Every time I walk into a new place, I fall in love and it becomes my new go-to cafe until I find another one. Eariler this year, I walked into the cutest pink themed Holy Matcha Cafe and surely thought it would be hard to come across another spot just as unique.

Coffee + Flowers in North Park, San Diego

It just so happens that I am currently living near an area called, North Park, and it's flourishing with amazing cafes and craft beer establishments, so my Nespresso machine is getting a little neglected these days. So how did I find out about Communal Coffee?

A friend of mine was in town and she suggested this spot after doing a quick Instagram search for #northpark. After we scrolled through their Instagram feed, we were convinced that this place was too cute to pass up.

Their menu consisted of interesting flavors like the Lavender Honey Latte, Rose Vanilla Latte, and Banana Latte. If you can't decide on one, they also offer flights for people who want to sip on more than one flavor. I knew I would be back for more so I went with a simple flavor and purchased the Vanilla Bean Latte. If you are hungry, they also serve pastries and some light food options like toast and quiche.

I, of course, had to enter the monthly raffle. Fingers crossed that I win this month!

Communal Coffee shares its space with the floral design company Native Poppy and the flower arrangements inside are simply gorgeous. Flowers just bring so much life to a space and you can just see all the smiles it brings out in people.

My Vanilla Bean Latte was delicious and the service was super friendly. There were quite a bit of people hanging out both indoors and outdoors. Most of the people inside were on their laptops, while the people outdoors were chatting away with the view of the North Park Nursery and Garden. The two spaces are basically combined so that you can enjoy your coffee in a beautiful garden.

I love how all these local businesses share a space to create one happy and gorgeous community. The only con is that parking can be a bit tricky to find right in front of the shop, so you'll have to drive around the neighborhood to find street parking. Now on to the next coffee joint for me to fall in love with!
