Traveling via train is our favorite way to travel and we had several options of getting there. Getting from Amsterdam to Bruges takes about 3 hours via train taking the Thalys high-speed rail train and Belgium’s local trains. There is no direct train line from Amsterdam to Bruges so you have to change trains no matter what.
Amsterdam has always been on the top of our list of places to visit and we finally made it happen this year. We wanted to stay someplace that was central, convenient, and unique and the Kimpton De Witt Amsterdam ticked-all-the-boxes for us.
Amsterdam is known for all of its coffee shops and the Red Light District but we wanted to skip all that and explore this city in a different way. Amsterdam has many wonderful museums and so many great sites to see. So much so that we actually ran out of time and didn’t get to explore everything we wanted.
When we travel, the one thing we always wish we could afford to do is to hire a personal photographer to take photos of us together. On our most recent trip to Amsterdam, we decided to hire a professional vacation photographer from Localgrapher. We wish we had known about this service sooner because our experience was amazing!
When we booked our flights to Amsterdam we were pretty excited as we have been wanting to visit for quite some time now. Many of our friends who have been to Amsterdam rave about this city and have even made multiple visits because they just loved it that much. We decided to book our stay at the InterContinental Amstel Amsterdam as it was rated as a top-notch hotel with excellent service and luxurious amenities.
If you want to know what to pack and wear for your trip to Amsterdam and Bruges in November, we share exactly what we packed for this tricky time of year. We also share the items we wish we would have packed.
