About Crystal
Ever since I took a Video Arts class in high school, I knew I wanted to become a video editor. I'm very passionate about documenting my travels and inspiring others to take their own adventure and discover new cultures.
I'm also passionate about my dog, Kuma the corgi. She is the smartest dog I have ever owned and I swear she is half human. She's my little baby and best friend. I wish I can take her on trips with me everywhere I go but I'm limited to road trips with her. That's why I try to find the best pet-friendly destinations.
Here is a quick way to get to know me :
Q1 : What are some of your favorite travel destinations? U.S.: Montana. Worldwide: Iceland, Bali and Japan.
Q2 : What are some of your current fashion obsessions? My bomber jacket from California Moonrise. It's so comfy and stylish!
Q3 : Who was your first crush? Christian Slater. Gleaming the Cube was totally rad.
Q4 : Favorite Netflix shows? Glow, Narcos, Terrace House
Q5 : What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you? I can sign language the alphabet.
Q6: If you could be a cartoon character for a week, who would you be? I would want to be Gokou from Dragon Ball Z. He can fly, throw crazy fire balls and basically kick anyone's butt. Plus, he has a cute tail and it would be kind of fun to see what it's like to have a tail.
Q7: If you could time travel, where would you go (and why)? I would travel back to 1940s and 50s. I'm just intrigued with that era and I love all the fashion from that time.
About Candy
Growing up, I didn't have the opportunity to travel much outside of Japan, so shortly after graduating college I began traveling. My work has provided me the opportunity to live in places like Norway, Singapore, Hong Kong, and now Los Angeles.
Each city I’ve lived in, thus far, is so unique that I honestly couldn't pick a favorite. One thing I really enjoyed observing in each city was its unique style of fashion. I had to wear a uniform in both middle and high school, so I think that has a little bit to do with why. I was so tired of wearing the same outfit for six years!
Here is a quick way to get to know me :
Q1 : What are some of your favorite travel destinations? U.S.: Hawaii. Worldwide: Skopelos Island and Japan.
Q2 : What are some of your current fashion obsessions? I've always loved Boho inspired styles. It's colorful with fun patterns and I think it can be worn by all ages, which makes it so versatile and timeless. I also have fully embraced Athleisure styles and I'm so happy to see brands integrating casual cool wear into their collections. We don't need heels to be fashionable :)
Q3 : Who was your first crush? Edward Furlong. Man, I watched 'Terminator 2' a million times because of him. I know his lines word for word. Crazy.
Q4 : Favorite Netflix shows? Stranger Things, House of Cards, Glow, Terrace House
Q5 : What’s something a lot of people don’t know about you? When I was living in Japan, I worked at McDonalds.
Q6: If you could be a cartoon character for a week, who would you be? I would want to be Ranma from Ranma 1/2. It's a Japanese anime where a boy who turns female when hit with cold water and male when hit with hot water. Would be cool to experience being both genders right!?!?!
Q7: If you could time travel, where would you go (and why)? I would love to travel back in time to when my parents were kids, which would be the late 40's to early 50's. It would be interesting to see how my mother's life in Japan was like compared to my father's life in Nebraska.
