I’ve had the Bond bag for a few years now, and I honestly don’t know why it has taken me this long to finally write a review, especially since I have already reviewed Lo & Sons Aoyama Bag, Rowledge Backpack, and Catalina Supreme Tote Bag.

I was initially drawn to this bag for it’s sleek design. I really liked how the buttery soft leather draped beautifully when I wore it as a sling bag. I also didn’t realize just how much detail was put into this bag until I started using it.

Convertible Strap

The Bond bag offers versatility and can be comfortably worn in a couple of different ways: either as a stylish sling bag or as a practical fanny pack. Personally, I tend to prefer wearing it as a sling bag, but regardless of how you choose to use it, the overall design and aesthetic of the bag make it an excellent choice for everyday, hands-free use. The straps are easily adjustable and can be disconnected, allowing you to customize the style and length to suit your personal preferences and needs.

Plenty of Pockets

For being a bag on the smaller size, it does not fall short when it comes to organizational pockets and compartments. I didn’t think having so many pockets in a smaller bag was necessary, but I have come to realize that it actually makes a huge difference in day-to-day usability.

There is a convenient zippered pocket located on the back of the bag, along with an additional card pocket for holding cards or other miscellaneous items. Inside the main compartment, you will find three mesh pockets that are perfect for organizing smaller items, along with another zippered pocket.

When you open the zippered pocket, you will find three slots specifically designed for storing cards. I like this feature because it eliminates the need to carry a dedicated wallet. Putting a separate wallet in this bag would not only take up valuable space but also limit the room available for other items you may want to put in there instead.

Premium Materials

I absolutely love this bag’s premium sheepskin leather, which truly stands out. It has a wonderfully soft and delicate feel that keeps the bag lightweight. It is an extremely supple leather, which is why it drapes so beautifully and elegantly when I wear it as a sling bag. Of all the sling bags I’ve owned over the years, this particular one is by far my favorite. My little sister was so impressed by it that she ended up getting one for herself as well, and she now carries it with her on all her travels, adventures, and outings.

Durable Hardware

The attention to detail in Lo & Sons bags is what keeps me coming back for more of them. The main strap features an extremely strong and durable Japanese buckle. Plastic often has a tendency to give items a look that comes across as cheap or low-quality, but that is certainly not the case here at all. In this instance, the Japanese buckle remains sophisticated while providing a practical advantage by helping to keep the bag as light as possible.

Perfect for Travel

The Bond is my go-to bag that accompanies me on my long-haul flights. It’s big enough to fit all my personal essentials, but small enough to fit inside my carry-on backpack. Yes, you read that right. I put the Bond inside my backpack and there is a reason why I do this.

I find it particularly convenient to do this when I am seated in an exit row. Since I have to store my larger backpack in the overhead bin, right before I settle into my seat, I pull out the Bond from my backpack so that I have my most important belongings readily available with me.

Final Thoughts

With all the thoughtful and carefully considered features incorporated into its design, it was intentionally crafted to be both lightweight and versatile. The subtle yet practical design details of this bag make it an excellent choice for both travel and everyday use.
