I was on a business trip in Bentonville, Arkansas and had the opportunity to stay at the new hotel, Motto by Hilton Bentonville Downtown. I was pretty excited to stay here, especially since the pictures I had seen online depicted the hotel as very trendy and modern in design.
There were mixed reviews online, which made me a little hesitant about the quality of the service I might receive, but I must say that every single staff member at the hotel was incredibly professional, friendly, and genuinely helpful throughout my stay. I’m guessing that the reviews citing poor service were likely from when the hotel first opened and was still in the process of figuring everything out.
LOCATION
Motto by Hilton Bentonville Downtown is conveniently situated right in the heart of vibrant downtown Bentonville. This prime location allows guests to walk to a multitude of restaurants, cafes, coffee shops, and various local attractions.
Right across the street stands the unique Ledger, the first-ever bikeable building, featuring six stories of exterior switchbacks that provide stunning views of downtown Bentonville. Inside this building is a beautifully designed coffee shop by Airship Coffee, where visitors can savor excellent coffee beverages as well as delicious matcha lattes.

PARKING
There is a parking lot located right next to the hotel, but most likely you will not find parking there, especially during peak hours. At least, I never did during my stay. I had to resort to valet service for my car every night, which ended up costing me around $20 per night.
The valet service provided was very efficient and well-organized; they send you a text message immediately after you hand over your keys, complete with instructions on how to retrieve your car when needed. I typically texted the valet service about 5 minutes before I was ready to head out and my car was already waiting out front by the time I arrived. They were consistently very fast and reliable.

FIRST IMPRESSION
As expected, the lobby area was absolutely gorgeous, featuring impressive modern decor, stylish trendy couches, unique cool trinkets, and a large community-like table for visitors to comfortably use, which was usually filled with business travelers engaged in collaborations or focused on working on their laptops.
Upon arrival, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who was in training, and she did an excellent job checking me in while her superior attentively ensured that everything looked good and ran smoothly. I was able to check in a little earlier than the normal check-in time, which is at 4 PM.

I believe I arrived and checked in around 2 PM, and they had no problem accommodating me in a room at that time. Additionally, they kindly asked if I had a preference regarding the floor on which I would like to stay, and I requested the highest floor available, which was on the 6th floor.
THE ROOM
I originally booked the regular Queen Bed Room, but to my pleasant surprise, I was instead given the Queen Bed Bunkie Room with a Lofted Twin bed. I really loved that this room featured a bunk bed because I have always adored bunk beds. There’s something wonderfully nostalgic about it, and I feel like a kid again when I sleep on the top bunk.

Of course, since I was using the room by myself during my stay, I opted for the comfortable bottom queen bed; however, if I had been sharing the room with a friend or family member, I would have most definitely taken the top bed for the fun experience.
The room measured about 188 square feet, and it was just the right size for one person to feel comfortable. It could get a little tight with two people in the space, but they thoughtfully designed the room to easily allow for shifting things around to create more space when needed.
Right when I entered the room, there was a wardrobe space and sink area to the right. To the left were doors to the stand-up shower and toilet. If I were sharing the room with someone, having the sink area within the room would have been extremely handy, as it would allow one person to use the shower while the other could use the sink without any inconvenience.

The wardrobe had seven hangers and a luggage rack placed underneath. At the bottom were drawers that contained a handheld steamer and a large digital safety box. The handheld steamer came in handy as I had to use it to steam one of my skirts and it worked out great.
The sink area featured plenty of counter space, adorned with a box of tissues, a couple of paper cups, and liquid hand soap and lotion dispensers. In the drawer was a hair dryer and extra toilet paper. Underneath the sink was a mini fridge which I was surprised to find because I was not expecting a fridge for a small room. What I loved most about this sink area was the mirror with ring light. The lighting on this mirror was fantastic and illuminated everything so nicely.

The perfect lighting
The stand-up shower had a standard shower head and a handheld shower head for added convenience. Next to it was the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash dispensers. The shower worked perfectly with great pressure and plenty of hot water. I appreciated that it was equipped with a standard shower head rather than one of those large, fancy rain shower heads, as the latter can make those occasional days when I don’t feel like washing my hair significantly more challenging.
The queen bed was exceptionally comfortable, providing a restful sleep experience, and there were four pillows available, each with varying degrees of firmness to cater to different preferences. At each side of the bed, there were convenient tables designed to hold your personal items, along with a handy night light and both standard and USB outlets for charging devices.
Directly in front of the bed was a 55-inch television, allowing guests to stream their favorite shows or watch live television for entertainment. Below the TV, there was a working surface that, while cleverly positioned to maximize space, proved to be somewhat challenging for using my laptop effectively.
Although I attempted to utilize one of the rolling ottoman chairs available in the room, I found it rather uncomfortable and my back began to hurt rather quickly. I also tried sitting on the bed to use my laptop, but that arrangement was not much better either. Ultimately, I resorted to sitting on the bed in a more relaxed position while working on my laptop.

I noticed that many guests were taking advantage of the lounge area to work, which made sense given that the rooms were not particularly conducive to comfortable workspaces. Aside from the workspace setup, everything else in the room was thoughtfully designed with practicality in mind.
AMENITIES

If you are considering dining at their on-site restaurant, Junto Sushi, I highly recommend making a reservation in advance. During my visit, I unfortunately did not have a reservation, so I was unable to secure a table within the restaurant. However, I was fortunate enough to find a seat at the bar, where I thoroughly enjoyed a delicious cocktail, appetizer, and entree.
