I recently made a trip to Oceanside, California, and had an amazing time dining at some of the most delectable restaurants around town. On my last day, I made it a priority to visit a unique cafe spot called "Succulent Cafe".

I was staying at the SpringHill Suites Marriott and this hidden gem was just a few blocks away. It was about an 8-minute walk and when I arrived, I immediately fell in love. It is nestled between two buildings and the space is utilized so beautifully. It was the perfect spot to unwind and savor a nice cup of coffee.

It took me a while to get to the register as I walked around and looked at all the different succulents and unique flower pots. I have never thought about planting my succulents in a pair of baby sneakers! It really made me wonder who was behind this amazing succulent garden. Peter Loyola, is the owner of The Succulent Cafe, and is also the artist behind this succulent oasis.

He was working as a barista at his sister's bakery and on the side, had a hobby of growing succulents. After gaining much popularity for his succulent creations, he put his talent on display along with opening his own coffee shop. Such a splendid idea!

The menu is simple and you can even purchase the succulent arrangements that are on display. If you work from home and need to get out, this is the place to do it. They offer free WiFi and pets are always welcome.
