Brunch at Cask Social Kitchen in Tampa, Florida
/Cask Social Kitchen opened in June 2015 and has quickly became one of our favorite restaurants in Tampa. Located in Hyde Park, it’s one of the restaurants in the area not to be missed.
We’ve been here for lunch and dinner and there’s always a great vibe going on. Lunch is more relaxed and there’s parking spaces available. You always have to worry about parking in the Hyde Park area, so I tend to take note of this. At night, it’s more crowded, so you’ll have to valet your car, but it’s free (with tip, of course).
The modern and industrial decor at Cask is awesome. I love the patio area complete with a bar. They are also pet friendly, so you can bring your dogs with you and enjoy your delicious meals in the nice, shaded area.
It’s just as gorgeous indoors with seating upstairs and downstairs and a bar on both levels. The entrance is decorated with a barrel wall and the dining area has inviting yellow booths and warm lighting from the Edison bulbs hanging on the ceiling and walls.
Cask serves amazing contemporary Southern food and I love that they serve you popcorn before your meal. Each day, they change up their popcorn flavors. For example, last week, our popcorn was The Italian Stallion, which was seasoned with fresh herbs.
We recently went to Cask for brunch and had their Bloody Mary for only $5! They were the best Bloody Marys I’ve had to date. Packed with flavor and tasted so earthy. I used to think Ella’s Cafe had the best Bloody Mary, but Cask has got them beat! They know how to make ‘em. For our entrees, we had the Chicken & Waffles and Chicken & Biscuit. Both dishes were excellent!
Next time I have friends in town, I’m definitely taking them to Cask Social!
