We discovered Pacsafe at a local travel shop in San Diego and have been so pleased with the quality, design, and anti-theft features of their backpacks that we wanted to add more of their products to our travel collection.
We recently added the Anti-Theft Women's Transit Travel Pant, the Citysafe Anti-Theft Tote, and the Camsafe V9 Anti-Theft Camera Sling Pack to our collection, and here are our reviews of each product:
Anti-Theft Transit Travel Pants
I didn't know what to expect when I heard about Pacsafe's anti-theft travel pants. I envisioned pants with some hidden pockets and really couldn't imagine anything else beyond that.
Leave it up to the anti-theft pros to give me what I couldn't envision. These pants have more than just hidden pockets and are designed with both short-term and long-term travel in mind. Here are its key features:
1. RFID-safe Blocking Pocket & Material
Just like their bags, they made sure to make these pants RFID-safe. If you aren't familiar with RFID technology, it's a technology that prevents electronic pickpocketing.
There are scammers out there that can easily scan your credit card or even your passport without even having to physically have the items in hand. Electronic pickpocketing isn't as common as regular pickpocketing, but it's a real thing so it's nice to have this additional layer of security.
2. Invisible Pockets Everywhere!
I definitely don't like having all my things hidden in one particular area, so it's awesome that these pants have hidden pockets in places that are below the waistline.
I would imagine that it's quite challenging for pickpocket pros to snatch things, without looking obvious, that are well below the waistline.
One more thing to note is the pockets with zippers. No need to worry about items falling out of your pockets with these handy zippers.
3. Made with Antibacterial Polygiene® Treated Fabric
I've never heard of clothing being treated with odor control technology, so I was curious to learn more. After a little bit of googling, I found that Polygiene® Odor Technology basically stops the growth of odor-causing bacteria in fabrics.
This awesome technology basically gives you the freedom to wear the pants more than once before sticking them in the washer, which also means less washing which saves water, energy, time, and money.
Having to wash your clothes less also improves the lifespan of the product so it's an all-around win-win situation for both you and the environment. Plus, it's rare that I'll find the time or even have access to a washing machine when I'm traveling.
Citysafe CX Anti-Theft Tote
We love and use our Citysafe Backpacks on many of our travels; however, there have been times when a tote bag was in need. Just like the backpacks, the Citysafe CX Anti-Theft Tote Bag comes in handy on our travels and at-home.
The pink-lined interior makes it easier to find things and there are plenty of compartments to keep things organized.
There are, of course, plenty of hidden security locks and pockets. There are two features we especially like about this tote:
1. A Style Staple
When it comes to investing in a bag, the tote is a must-have staple piece. It can be used for a variety of occasions and it's a huge plus when it's also an anti-theft bag.
We especially like to carry a tote bag on our road trips since we aren't limited to airline regulations and can pack as much as we'd like. Not only is this bag great for our travels, but we also use it throughout the workweek.
Sometimes the work week requires us to take some extra things that our purses just can't handle. If you are dressed up, a tote bag may coordinate better than a bookbag.
2. External Attachment Points
Who else hits the gym after work? Or in the mornings before heading to work? If you're a yogi, this tote has convenient external attachment points for your yoga mat.
Not into yoga? You can use it to carry a jacket or even a sleeping bag as the attachment points are adjustable.
The Citysafe backpacks are versatile and have been with us everywhere; however, we decided it was time to give one of their camera bags a try.
We've never purchased a sling-style bag and have always liked the hip design, but we weren't sure just how functional it was. We wanted to try for ourselves and see if it was practical and not just a bag that looked sleek.
Just like the Citysafe bags, the Camsafe V9 Anti-Theft Camera Sling Pack is equipped with all the anti-theft features. Here are some of the other great features we appreciated:
1. Designed to Grab Your Camera with Ease
The secure front-to-back and back-to-front sling made it super easy to grab our camera or lenses with ease.
With a camera backpack, you have to actually remove the bag from your shoulders, but with a sling you can just slide the bag to the front and grab whatever you need without ever having to remove it.
2. Built-in Rain Cover
This is super handy especially if you live in a climate that rains often (hello, Florida hurricane season). We initially didn't even realize there was a built-in rain cover, since it was so well hidden.
Luckily, we haven't been in a situation where we've had to use it, but it's nice to know that it's there.
3. Water Bottle Pouch
Bags with an external water bottle pocket is always a huge plus for us. We don't ever leave the house without a bottle of water and having this convenient slot keeps our hands free.
There have been countless times where we have left a bottle of water somewhere after setting it down, so this dedicated pocket really helps. You can also use it to hold a portable umbrella.
4. Compatible Sleeve for 11" Laptop or iPad
Being able to carry everything in one bag is super convenient so that you don't have to lug around another bag just for your laptop or iPad. It's great that this bag has a dedicated padded sleeve for an 11" laptop or iPad.
Conclusion
I'll definitely be wearing the anti-theft pants on my long-haul flights as they are super comfy with a ton of pockets. The tote bag is a great all-around bag with multiple uses for both everyday and travel.
Lastly, the camera bag is super convenient for shooting on-the-fly and extra bonus points for looking super sleek. We can't wait to see what else Pacsafe is designing to make our travels both stylish and secure.
