I have been a fan of Lo & Sons for a few years now due to their travel-centric bag designs that blends with my style. Their creations are simple, yet chic and don’t scream trendy or common.

I have my trusty go-to travel backpacks and tote bags, yet the quest for the perfect travel purse has been an elusive one for me over the years. However, my search finally came to an end when Lo & Sons launched the Aoyama Bag. Here’s why.

Endless Versatility

The very first thing that drew me to the Aoyama bag was its versatility. I have seen versatile purses before, but what set this one apart was that the various styles it could transform into were all styles that aligned perfectly with my taste and needs.

The Aoyama Bag offers the convenience of easily transforming from a crossbody bag into a chic shoulder bag or a sophisticated handbag, making it a practical and fashionable accessory for any occasion.

More often than not, convertible bags tend to convert into a clutch, a style that I am not particularly fond of. That’s why I appreciate that this one transforms into a compact handbag with a strap. I just love how this purse adapts to different needs throughout the day.

Thoughtful Design Features

I couldn’t help but notice the convenient exterior side pocket, which gives me quick access to my essentials. This was the perfect spot to stash my phone. I am constantly grabbing my phone to snag a photo, especially when I’m exploring new destinations.

Another aspect of the design that I particularly enjoy is its crescent shape. This unique shape not only adds a stylish touch but also serves a practical purpose. When worn as a crossbody, the bag comfortably contours to my body, staying close without feeling cumbersome or obtrusive.

Let’s not overlook the interior lining of this bag, featuring a light-colored hummingbird jacquard that makes finding things a breeze. The convenient key leash ensures quick access to your keys or other items that you want quick access to. I like to hook my AirPods case to the key leash.

Inside, you'll find a roomy interior equipped with various organizational sections, including a zippered pocket, card slots, and multiple mesh pockets, enhancing practicality and functionality.

Last but certainly not least, one aspect that I particularly like is the subtle embossing of the logo on the adjustable strap. As someone who tends to favor bags without prominently displayed logos, the elegant placement of the logo on the purse in this understated manner really resonated with me.

The Perfect Size

Often when I travel, I don’t throw any purses in my suitcase. The main reason being that they are never big enough to accommodate all my essentials. However, that’s not the case anymore.

I tend to be a worrier, so I often find myself packing items in my purse that some might consider overly cautious. Let’s just say I like to be prepared for anything to happen. This purse holds enough of my belongings to be useful while exploring without it looking too bulky.

I also like to carry my camera with me and couldn’t believe my mirrorless Sony camera actually fit. Although, with my camera in the bag, it does look a bit bulky. Needless to say, I was amazed at just how much the Aoyama bag could accommodate my belongings.

Final Thoughts

Not only has the Aoyama bag become my go-to travel bag, but it is also now my everyday bag for small errands around town. I’m pretty picky when it comes to bags as I want something that will last me for many years to come. But at the same time it also has to provide design features that are as fashionable as they are practical.
