We think it's always a good time to start planning your next vacation and if you need a little inspiration, we've rounded up an awesome list to get you started. These cities are all places we personally have been to and they are some of our favorite travel destinations.
1 | Havana, Cuba
We had an amazing extended weekend in Cuba and couldn't have asked for a better time. It was our first time in Havana and we were warmly welcomed by the friendly people in Cuba. Our Airbnb hosts were so kind and we took a fun private guided tour of the city. Everywhere we went in Havana was visually stunning and we can't wait to go back. There have been concerns that it's difficult to visit Cuba now; however, this is not the case. You can still go on your own and follow a few of these simple rules.
Uvita was probably one of our more relaxing trips that we went on. We stayed in a luxurious eco-friendly accommodation at Rancho Pacifico in a private jungle reserve. We had a stunning view of the famous Whale's Tail and went on little adventures driving up and down the mountains chasing waterfalls.
I went to Ubud on a yoga retreat and expected to stay around the resort mostly relaxing and meditating, but this town had so much more to offer that I couldn’t fit everything into my itinerary. On top of my amazing stay at Soulshine Bali, I enjoyed climbing Mount Batur, watching the playful monkeys at the Sacred Monkey Forest, exploring the local villages on a bike tour and the list goes on.
We feel so lucky that we don't have to travel overseas to see some of the most captivating views in the world. We are still in awe of the time we spent touring Lower Antelope Canyon. We made the drive from Las Vegas to Page, Arizona and everywhere we drove, we couldn't get enough of the scenery that surrounded us. We took the scenic route on our mini road trip and it did not dissapoint!
We grew up in Japan and have been to Tokyo Disneyland more times than we can count and finally got a chance to explore Tokyo DisneySea. If you make a visit to Japan, it might be worth a visit if you are a Disney fan as there is only one DisneySea in the world. The park is impeccably clean and we were super impressed when we walked into the Mermaid Lagoon. It really felt like we were under the sea!
Being able to stay at any Disney Resort is definitely a perk, but this one was special because we got to wake up to views of safari animals straight from our balcony. We also had a lovely dining experience at the resort's one-of-a-kind Sanaa restaurant and spent one of our days taking Disney's shuttle buses to all four Disney parks.
I have been to my fair share of beautiful beaches, but the beaches of Phi Phi islands take it to whole another level . The boat ride on my way to the island felt so surreal as the water was crystal clear and the landscapes were simply breathtaking. I realized then that I still had so much more to see around the world.
8 | Yudanaka, Japan - Snow Monkey Park
I heard about these snow monkeys and have always wanted to see them in their natural habitat. The trek to Yudanaka was quite a journey, but so worth it. It was so cute seeing the monkeys take their baths in the natural hot springs. They are wild snow monkeys so there are two simple rules to follow when visiting this park: 1) Do not show the monkeys food or feed them and 2) Do not stare into their eyes.
9 | Vik, Iceland
If you are planning a road trip in Iceland, make sure to stop by Vik. It’s the southernmost point in Iceland and not to be missed. The black sand beach itself is a unique site to see and then you come upon the stunning rock formations that are nature’s work of art.
We never heard of La Jolla, California until Candy moved to San Diego and now it's one of our favorite beach towns. It's a gorgeous coastal town with amazing views that are shared with the local seals and sea lions. Everywhere you turn, the views are stunning and the weather is almost always perfect.
We hope we've given you some travel inspiration for your next travel destination! What are some of your favorite cities around the world?
