When I arrived at the SpringHill Suites Marriott in Downtown Oceanside, CA, I immediately fell in love when I pulled my car into the entrance and was greeted by a beautiful huge succulent living wall. There is just something about succulents that puts a huge smile on my face and I adore them.
I handed my keys over to the friendly valet staff and walked straight into the lobby. I looked over to my right and saw a huge sign that read "That Loving Feeling". The reclaimed wood, modern decor, and bright colored lobby was super inviting and had a nice casual vibe to it. I walked right up to the check-in counter and was greeted by the attentive staff.
Check-in was a breeze and as I was walking through the lounge I couldn't help but stop and look around. The yellow paint on the upper part of the beams were such a unique touch and it gave me the idea to try that in my home someday. I also wanted the chairs, throw pillows, light fixtures, succulents, etc. I pretty much wanted and loved everything.
Now I was excited to see what my room was going to look like. I opened the door and was so amazed at how well the space was designed. It was spacious, bright, and the decor was modern.
My room came with complimentary Wi-Fi, a mini-fridge, Paul Mitchell bath amenities, and an amazing panoramic view of the ocean.
Another great feature of the room was the outdoor space. The ocean view was beautiful and if I wanted to see more, the pool on the rooftop had amazing views as well.
The lounge's chic vibe enticed me to just hang out downstairs for a while. On the first floor, there is another lounge area that has a foosball table and board games, which is an amazing extra space if you want to spend some time away from your room.
It's also great that the hotel provides complimentary breakfast with every stay. The free breakfast had a variety of standard breakfast items like eggs, cereal, yogurt, coffee, and more.
I was only here for two days, but I definitely want to go back and stay longer. It's a beautiful area and you can walk to tons of nearby restaurants and attractions. If you want to go somewhere a little bit further that requires transportation, Oceanside's train station is right behind the hotel.
One more thing, since I was such a huge fan of this hotel's design, I found out that it was designed in collaboration with West Elm. Which means I can head to West Elm and buy some of those cute accents I saw around the hotel!
