HOW TO PACK A HAT
You can always wear your hat on your flight, but sometimes it doesn't match your outfit. Or you'll take it off and forget about it and accidentally leave it in the overhead bin. That actually happened to me one time. I didn't even realize it was gone until three days later when I wanted to wear it. Miraculously when I called the airline (All Nippon Airways) they had it in the lost and found. Crazy and super lucky that I got it back! After that fiasco, I learned how to pack my hat in my carry-on suitcase. Simply stuff your hat with clothing, place it on the bottom of the suitcase and place the rest of your clothing around it. This keeps your hat intact!

HOW TO PROPERLY PACK NECKLACES
Accessories don't take up much luggage space and can make your outfit pop, but necklaces tend to be a pain in the butt when trying to keep them organized in your suitcase. They get so tangled up that I end up asking myself why I even attempted to bring them. I hate spending my vacation time trying to detangle necklaces. Well, thanks to an easy and super cheap solution, my frustration has been solved: STRAWS. Use those straws to help separate your necklaces and avoid the tangled mess. The nifty jewelry organizer from The Container Store is a huge help as well.

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR CLOTHES
I used to toss my shoes in my luggage without ever thinking about what could happen to them, but then one day, TSA inspected my check-in bag and my clothes ended up with stains from the soles of my shoes. I had strategically packed my darker clothes on top so that I wouldn't have to worry about my shoes staining my lighter colored clothes. Unfortunately, TSA did not see there was a reason behind my packing. I get it. TSA does not have time to go through every single luggage and pack everything back up neatly. To avoid another mishap, I always pack my shoes in a plastic shopping bag, preferably one that has draw strings. Urban Outfitters and GAP give you great bags for your shoes.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR CLOTHES SMELLING FRESH
Sometimes after a long flight, I open my suitcase and it has an odd smell. Not that it's a bad smell, but I like to unpack my suitcase to a more pleasant smell. Dryer sheets to the rescue! I like to use Downy's Lavender Fabric Softener. 

HOW TO MAXIMIZE YOUR LUGGAGE SPACE
With airline companies charging extra for passengers to check in their luggage, we want to bring everything with us on our carry-on suitcases. To maximize your luggage space, make sure to fill in those gaps at the bottom of the suitcase.
