How to Attend The Conan Show
We recently went to a live taping of the Conan show and wanted to share our experience with you so that you can get the most out of your Conan adventure. If you love Conan, you have to do this. It's FREE and the experience is unforgettable.
The first thing you have to do is reserve your tickets. Go to teamcoco.com/tickets and pick the show you want to attend. The earlier the book, the better. We reserved our ticket a couple months in advance.
Once you select your show, you’ll have to create an 1iota account before reserving. Once all that is confirmed, you can print and/or save your ticket and you’re good to go!
On the day of the show, arrive early to pick up your tickets. This guarantees your spot in line. After you pick up your tickets, you're free to leave and come back. Just be back by 3:30pm. There are a few coffee shops nearby, but there really isn't a lot of places to go to around this area.
When you get back, there is a comfortable shaded waiting area with plenty of sitting room for everyone. While you're waiting, you can take tons of pics with the Conan bobble head (as we did). You should do this early when you pick up your tickets while it's still empty.
And don't worry about parking because they have a dedicated parking garage for the Conan show at Gate 8. It's free and it's the exact same place where you pick up your tickets.
The Conan staff make the experience as smooth and comfortable as possible for the fans. Everyone is very nice. Even the security guards. You can tell that they genuinely want everyone to have a good time. They’re so nice that they provide water for you while you’re waiting.
At 3:30pm, the staff starts to line up everyone. You follow the guy that lines you up and walk for about 10 minutes to the studio. You go through different studio lots and see parking spots for 2 Broke Girls and trailers for The Big Bang Theory. We don't really watch those shows, but it was still pretty cool to see.
Once you get into the studio, you’ll get some free candy and you’re directed into your comfy seats. You can take pictures before the show starts but once it begins, put your cameras away! We saw a security ninja jump out of nowhere and scold someone that was about to take a photo during the show.
After everyone gets settled into their seats, the studio manager introduces himself and the crowd warmer comes out for about 15 minutes to get the crowd hyped up. Then the Basic Cable Band comes out and it’s showtime!
The show moves very fast and it’s just like watching it on TV. Conan is so professional and very nice. He interacted with the audience a tad towards the end, which was awesome.
We watched the show later when we got home and we saw ourselves on TV for a bit! We were super excited!! It's super tiny, but there we are!
All in all, the live show was one of the best we’ve experienced. Candy has been to several other tapings and this was by far the most stress-free experience. It was a lot of fun! We love you, Conan and team!
